Welcome to The Olympia Shul
Synagogue Services that are enjoyable and easy to follow.

Every community needs a gathering point—a place to connect, relax, and grow together. For Olympia’s Jewish community, that place is The Olympia Shul.

A "shul," Yiddish for a house of prayer and study, is where any Jew can find warmth, spirituality, and a sense of belonging.

Come whenever you want, stay as long as you like. Bring the whole family!

There is no charge or membership required to come. You're already a member. We all are.

Our services, led by Rabbi Yosef Schtroks, are traditional yet casual, with a joyful, welcoming atmosphere. Children are always included and encouraged to join. Whether you’re a seasoned attendee or this is your first time, you’ll feel right at home.

If you can’t read Hebrew, don’t worry. Our prayer book is bilingual, and we regularly call out page numbers and offer explanations throughout the service. With uplifting songs and explanations given for each step of the way, even first-timers will feel comfortable and connected.

The insightful Torah teachings ensure that the Torah is relevant and meaningful to each person, no matter their background.

One of the highlights of our community is the Kiddush luncheons that follow Friday night and Shabbat morning services, lovingly prepared by Mrs. Rivky Schtroks and community volunteers. These meals are where friendships are built, and nurtured, as we celebrate each other’s milestones and simchas.
